It is nearly midnight on 31 December, 1999 and the world is about to come to an end, or so Nostradmus has predicted. The devil and his minions fans out all across the world, so that no one can check out before closing time.  One of them has come to keep an eye on George, who, it is rumoured, is about to escape by ending his life.
